Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to my mom and to Brenda, my mom-in-law. We're getting off to a bit of a rough start here. Sarah woke up at 4:30 saying "It's time to get up!" It took me a good half hour to convince her that it was definitely NOT time to get up. She did go back to sleep, but had a seizure at about 6:00. I called Wonder over and had him "check" and "touch" (put his paw on me) several times while praising the heck out of him. He's on the bed with Sarah now while she sleeps off her seizure. Her croupy cough is better and she hasn't had anymore fever, but her runny nose is starting to look like sinusitis again. So, I guess I'll be calling antibiotics in for her again. Yesterday evening we practiced having Sarah hold onto Wonder's harness while we took a short walk. Wonder seemed to heel better at the slow pace with Sarah holding on. Then we played fetch. Wonder LOVES his squeaky tennis balls and he had a blast chasing after them. Sarah is the only one allowed to play fetch with him as part of the bonding process. He has to see her as the source of all things fun in the universe. I could see a real difference in how attentive he was to Sarah after that. He's following me around the hotel room less and staying by Sarah more. He laid on the floor while she lined all her toys up around him. So cute.

Thanks Babe for the Mother's Day wishes. Same to you. I hope your day gets better with Sarah & your new son. Katherine talked to Mark twice before he left. She & the boys are playing outside while Dad & I recuperate. A few mosquito bites but otherwise they survived the camping adventure. Dad also has a rotten sinus infection which has been coming on for a couple of weeks. We are packing to return to San Marcos. We'll talk later. Take care. Love, MOM
